Buhari Will Return to His London Doctors - Presidency Speaks Up

The Presidency has described as “false news” reports that President Muhammadu Buhari is planning to bring his doctors to Nigeria as against returning to London to continue his medical checks, PUNCH reports.

Speaking to newsmen on Thursday, Garba Shehu, the president’s Senior Special Assistant (Media and Publicity) said:

“It is false news (that Buhari is no longer going to London).
We are not aware of the reported advance movements. The last time the President spoke about this, he said he would return to his doctors after some time. We are not aware that this has changed.”

President Buhari had, after almost 50 days in London for medical treatment, said he will be returning for follow-up checks “within some weeks”.

“I am feeling much better now, there may, however, be need to have further follow-ups within some weeks,” the President had said.
