Two sisters from Mpumalanga, a province of South Africa, allegedly attempted to poison their 62-year-old mother a few days before she was killed and raped, reportedly to collect an R80 000 (USD $5,400) life insurance payout. Mpumalanga police are investigating a murder case in which it is alleged that the woman's daughters killed her to cash in on her life insurance. Two male accomplices also allegedly gang-raped the woman, according to reports on Thursday. The first cases of coronavirus have been diagnosed in the UK as two English patients from the same family have tested positive for the killer virus. The patients have now become the first English people to be diagnosed with the virus on British soil since the outbreak in Wuhan, China. A drug-smuggling tunnel equipped with its own railway and lift has been discovered at the US border with Mexico. The 4,300ft passage which is believed to have been built by El Chapo’s Sinaloa cartel is said to be the longest known illicit underground route into the United States. A snake charmer has died after being bitten twice by a king cobra while he was showing off his "magic skills" to villagers. The man, named Norjani, caught the reptile a week ago and kept it locked in his wooden hut for use in traditional medicine.
